Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Kahani Play mobile application and this website (together, "the Service"), operated by G & J Media Entertainment LLP.

By downloading, installing, creating an account on, or using Kahani Play, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or 13 or older with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to use the Service. Some content is rated for mature audiences. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is true.

2. Your account

• You register with a mobile number or email address, verified by a one-time password (OTP).
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your OTP and credentials private.
• Your account is personal to you. Do not sell, share or transfer it.
• Tell us immediately at kahaniplayott@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, without notice where the breach is serious.

3. Subscriptions and payment

• Parts of the Service are free; others require a paid subscription or a one-off rental. The plans, prices and durations available to you are shown in the App before you pay.
• Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) unless stated otherwise and include applicable taxes unless shown separately.
• Payments are handled by third-party providers, including Google Play Billing and online payment gateways. Their terms apply to the transaction itself.
• A subscription gives you a limited right to stream and, where offered, download content for the period you paid for. It does not transfer ownership of any content to you.
• We may change prices or plans. Changes do not affect a subscription period you have already paid for.
• Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Licence to use the Service

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the App on a device you own or control, and to stream content for your own private, non-commercial viewing. This licence ends when your account or subscription ends.

5. What you must not do

You agree not to:

• Copy, record, download (except through features we provide), reproduce, redistribute, broadcast, sell or publicly perform any content from the Service.
• Circumvent, disable or interfere with any security, encryption, geographic restriction or digital rights management.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the App, or use bots, scrapers or automated tools against the Service.
• Share your account with people outside your household, or use it for any commercial or public screening.
• Upload or transmit anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing or harmful, including malware.
• Use the Service to break any applicable law, or to infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy.

Breaking these rules may lead to suspension or termination of your account, and may expose you to civil or criminal liability.

6. Content and intellectual property

All content on the Service — including films, series, trailers, images, text, graphics, logos, the Kahani Play name and the App's software — is owned by G & J Media Entertainment LLP or by its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.

Content is licensed to us for defined periods and territories. Titles may be added or removed without notice, and availability may differ by region. We do not guarantee that any particular title will remain on the Service.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on Kahani Play infringes your copyright, email kahaniplayott@gmail.com with: the work concerned, where the content appears in the App, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We will review and, where justified, remove the content.

7. Availability of the Service

We aim to keep the Service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons beyond our control. Streaming quality depends on your device, internet connection and location, which are your responsibility. Data charges from your network operator are yours to pay.

8. Third-party services

The Service may include advertising, links or integrations from third parties. We are not responsible for third-party content, products or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, G & J Media Entertainment LLP, its partners, employees and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless G & J Media Entertainment LLP against claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections on content ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change, and significant changes will be notified in the App. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
